Buff Racing Honda got off to its proper start to the Maxxis British Motocross Championship season at Canada Heights this past weekend with the delivery of their new race bike earlier in the week, and set rider Lewis Rose up for a good day's racing.

Qualifying in twelfth, Lewis found himself in the super pole qualifying session, in which he remained in the position set earlier. Racing saw Lewis start the first race in the back of the pack, but in only a few laps found himself back in the top twenty. Racing a steady pace, he remained in eighteenth to the chequered flag. The second race saw him off in the top fifteen, but a lap later, Lewis ended in the dirt and had to limp back to the paddock, ending the race before it really started. The third race saw Lewis again in the front, but another crash relegated him to the rear of the pack, where he struggled to get into a race rhythm, ending in a disappointing twenty-fifth place.
